ZIPPY BIKES – BUYBACK POLICY

Our Buyback Policy provides eligible customers the option to sell back their vehicle to us under the conditions outlined below.

1. Eligibility Criteria

1.1 This Buyback Policy applies only to Zippy bikes purchased from Zippy Bikes, either through our online platform or at doorstep.
1.2 The vehicle must be registered in the same state RTO where the sale took place (currently applicable to Maharashtra RTOs only).
1.3 The buyback option is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase mentioned on the invoice.
1.4 The bike should have run no more than 8,000 KM during the eligible period, with a maximum of 2,000 KM per quarter.
1.5 The vehicle must be regularly serviced every 3 months at an authorized service center or Zippy Bikes partner garages ONLY. Service records must be submitted at the time of buyback.

2. Conditions for Disqualification

A vehicle shall be ineligible for the buyback scheme under the following conditions:
2.1 Change in ownership or registration transfer to another person/entity.
2.2 Transfer of vehicle registration to a different state.
2.3 Usage of the vehicle for commercial purposes such as delivery, taxi service, or for competitive events like racing or rallying.
2.4 Any aftermarket modifications, including changes to engine, body, or electronics.
2.5 Evidence of odometer tampering.
2.6 If the vehicle is not in mechanically working condition or fails the inspection as per the Zippy Assured checklist during the buyback request.
2.7 If the vehicle is listed in Zippy Bikes' "Do Not Procure" category at the time of buyback.

3. Deductions Applicable

Zippy Bikes reserves the right to deduct charges from the final buyback value in the following cases:

3.1 Any major damaged, missing, or non-functional parts (lights, indicators, panels, engine components, etc.).
3.2 Dent repair or repainting costs due to external body damage.
3.3 Pending challans, fines, or taxes must be cleared by the customer.
3.4 If the bike is under loan/hypothecation, the customer must submit a valid NOC from the finance company.
3.5 Missing, torn, or mutilated registration certificate (RC) will attract a deduction or rejection.

4. General Terms

  • This buyback policy is only valid for vehicles purchased on or after January 2025. 

  • Customers must clear all dues and submit required documents (including service records, RC, insurance, and ID proof) before initiating the buyback.

  • Zippy Bikes will inspect the vehicle before finalizing the offer.

  • Final valuation is at the sole discretion of Zippy Bikes after physical inspection.

6. Governing Law

This Buyback Policy is governed by the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Mumbai.
